lyrics

A little powder, not too much, I'm in control.
A little spilt? Well I've just been paid and I can play at decadence.
I'm creative.
I like rearranging faces and the furniture that you gave me (In exchange for my sanity) looks better smashed to the ground.

Come and join the fun. I dare you not to run.
Come see what you've done, done to me.
Your little slave is free. You have my sympathy.
You have lost control and you've lost me.
And no one will find me again.

The deformed phoenix rises from the ashes,
it's DNA is twisted as it dives headlong towards a new fire.

The faux-Persian rug now in blood red, my blood or his?
I don't know it could be, could be Shiraz or something.
There's a canvas painted by my hand and not my mind.
God knows what it's supposed to be but it's on fire.

Come and join the fun. I dare you not to run.
Come see what you've done, done to me.
Your little slave is free. You have my sympathy.
You have lost control and you've lost me.
And no one will find me again.
I'm lost on the wind for all time.

Smashed glass gashes my painted feel.
Burnt kettle element cracks and fizzes, signalling a failed attempt at sanity and normality.
There're too many minds living in my head.
A man bleeding on the floor and a girl unconscious in my bed.
We all need nights like these, don't we? DON'T WE?

Come and join the fun. I dare you not to run.
Come see what you've done, done to me.
Your little slave is free. You have my sympathy.
You have lost control and you've lost me.
And no one will find me again.
I'm lost on the wind for all time.
I'm flying where I am forbidden to fly.
I'm going to go down it flames.

about

Barney Byron Northampton, UK

Welcome! Here you'll find my latest self-recorded albums.
Stylistically, it's all over the place. What starts off as one thing often ends up as another. It's all about the songs that I seem to spend my life chasing. They occupy my mind for a while, I record them and move onto the next one. I'm hugely self conscious about them but here they are, for the world to hear if it would like to listen. ... more
