The deformed phoenix rises from the ashes,
it's DNA is twisted as it dives headlong towards a new fire.

The faux-Persian rug now in blood red, my blood or his?

There's a canvas painted by my hand and not my mind.
God knows what it's supposed to be but it's on fire.

Smashed glass gashes my painted feel.
Burnt kettle element cracks and fizzes, signalling a failed attempt at sanity and normality.
There're too many minds living in my head.
A man bleeding on the floor and a girl unconscious in my bed.
We all need nights like these, don't we? DON'T WE?
