There's more behind than is to come, That's the sadness of it all. What will you do when you are old? I'll be disappointed. School was training me for what? Unstable lovers and their debts. Time to welcome you on board, Rotten bringer of rotten things. Jonny died a rockstar death, With two women in his bed. Beer and whiskey, coke and pills. He died disappointed. His aching never satisfied, Death was taunting at his side. At the point of death he wasn't a star - just a man in pain. So it's time to welcome you on board The rotten bringer of rotten things. Moulded by all time and space, The ship is stranded, compass spinning. I am sailing her alone. Along the lines around my eyes. On course for the edge of the world, The only destination left. All humantity sails with me, The rotten bringer of rotten things. There's more behind than is to come, That's the sadness of it all. I heard a wise man say one day, The whole world will turn to me. What of all that's left behind? It's just sand in the winds of time. Time to welcome you on board, The rotten bringer of rotten things.

Fall young angels (Faded Flowers) Heart beats her shine away, the sky falls in on my sympathy. A wind blows cold across deserted decks where my love has been. Wine is her insecticide. Her beautiful rare butterfly has beat its last. Time is my enemy, I try to fight and not lie down saying ‘trample me’. At night I have been alone but still touching One of those faded flowers, one of these broken jewels So sad to see their beauty rotting away One of those faded flowers, my sadness turns to shame Then pity as I watch their world decay. They’ve paid in many ways, the quick decay and uncertainty. The world that they have made, barren and cracked like their dying skin. This world kills you so fight, fight back. All of you fade flowers, all of you broken jewels ..etc Everyone needs to give their earthbound brains another level Take care the path you chose, the fates chose mine and it’s killing me. Yes this is your path to hell and you have got the right to run that deadly road. Time is still my enemy, it’s fighting back and I can feel it trample me. Fall young angels, I’ll break your wings. All of these faded flowers… etc

about

A selection of my home demos from 2007-9. Many of these were recorded as sketches for a band but they didn't fit stylistically. A snapshot of where my head was at at the time.

about

Barney Byron Northampton, UK

Welcome! Here you'll find my latest self-recorded albums.
Stylistically, it's all over the place. What starts off as one thing often ends up as another. It's all about the songs that I seem to spend my life chasing. They occupy my mind for a while, I record them and move onto the next one. I'm hugely self conscious about them but here they are, for the world to hear if it would like to listen. ... more
